What is an event ambulance?
It is an ambulance that arrives before an event starts and stays on standby until it ends. The aim is to respond within the first minutes if someone in the crowd falls ill or is injured. The crew assesses the patient on site and, if necessary, takes them to the nearest suitable hospital.
Which events?
- Sports fixtures: football, basketball, wrestling, running, cycling
- Concerts, festivals and open-air shows
- School fairs, graduations and sports days
- Trade fairs, congresses, dealer meetings and launches
- Weddings and large family gatherings
- Film shoots, motor sports and off-road events
Some permitting bodies (federations, municipalities, local authorities) require an ambulance. Ask them which health measures are expected so that we can plan accordingly.
The Tekirdağ calendar
Demand rises around the Cherry Festival in Süleymanpaşa in June, summer concerts along the Şarköy and Marmaraereğlisi coasts, grape-harvest events and traditional oil-wrestling meets in the districts. Coastal populations grow in summer, so send summer requests early.
How many vehicles and crew?
| Factor | Why it matters |
|---|---|
| Attendance | Larger crowds raise the chance of simultaneous incidents |
| Type of event | Contact and motor sports carry higher injury risk |
| Duration | Long events need crew rotation |
| Size of venue | Large sites may need a second team |
| Distance to hospital | The site should not be left uncovered during a transfer |
| Weather | Heat increases fainting and dehydration |

Where the ambulance stands
Close to the event but with a clear exit. We agree the standby point, the evacuation route, how to reach the event manager, who calls whom in an incident and how cover continues if the vehicle leaves with a patient.
Ongoing needs
If cover is needed regularly rather than once, on-site ambulance or ambulance hire may be a better fit.
Frequently asked questions
How early should I book?
As soon as the date is fixed. Summer months and public holidays are busy.
If the ambulance leaves with a patient, is the event uncovered?
This is addressed at planning. For large or higher-risk events a second vehicle or extra on-site staff is recommended.
Is an ambulance booked for weddings?
Yes, particularly for summer weddings with many elderly guests or at venues far from a town centre.
