When is this route used?
Kırklareli is Tekirdağ’s northern neighbour and family ties between the two are strong. Typical journeys: patients treated in Lüleburgaz or Kırklareli centre, patients returning to a home or village in Kırklareli after treatment in Tekirdağ, and elderly relatives being brought to live with their children.
Route
The route runs via Muratlı and Lüleburgaz. From Çorlu and Çerkezköy the motorway link can be used. Saray borders the Vize district, so journeys starting there are much shorter.
| Destination | Note |
|---|---|
| Lüleburgaz | Midway; Kırklareli’s most populous district |
| Kırklareli centre | Provincial hospitals |
| Vize, Pınarhisar | Shorter via Saray |
| Dereköy border gate | Towards Bulgaria; paperwork needed |
Returning to a village
A return home needs more preparation than a trip to hospital: who receives the patient, whether the bed is ready, heating and medication. See companions in the ambulance and intercity ambulance.
Frequently asked questions
Is a transfer to Lüleburgaz counted as intercity?
Yes, because it crosses the provincial border.
Do you take the patient all the way to a village house?
Yes. The vehicle goes as close as it can and the patient is carried to the bed.
