Frequently asked questions about private ambulances

In short

Answers to the most common questions about when to book a private ambulance, how the fee is set, companions, waiting time and intercity transfers.

How is the fee set?

By distance, service duration (including waiting and return), crew and equipment, building access and time of service. There is no fixed tariff; share both addresses and the patient’s condition for a clear quote.

Which districts of Tekirdağ do you serve?

All eleven: Süleymanpaşa, Çorlu, Çerkezköy, Kapaklı, Ergene, Malkara, Saray, Hayrabolu, Şarköy, Marmaraereğlisi and Muratlı.

What information should I give when making a request?

Pick-up and drop-off addresses, date and time, how the patient travels (stretcher, wheelchair, seated), floor and lift details and any equipment in use.

Can a companion travel with the patient?

In most planned transfers one companion can. Other relatives can follow by car.

What time should I book the ambulance on discharge day?

Ask the ward nurse for the estimated discharge time. Paperwork often runs into the afternoon, so an early slot means waiting.

How is a patient brought down if there is no lift?

With a carry chair or suitable equipment and extra staff if needed. Tell us the floor and stair details in advance.

Do you do intercity transfers?

Yes, to Istanbul, Edirne, Kırklareli and other provinces.

Are international transfers possible?

Yes, by road or air, together with paperwork, border crossing and receiving-facility planning.

Can I have an ambulance on standby for an event or factory?

Yes: event ambulance for one-off events, on-site ambulance for ongoing needs and ambulance hire for fixed periods.

Is the transfer confirmed when I send the form?

No. The form is a request. The transfer is confirmed after vehicle, crew and date are checked in a call with you.

Does private health insurance cover the fee?

It depends on the policy. Ask your insurer whether ambulance cover is included and which documents are needed.

Do you work nights and weekends?

Night, weekend and public-holiday transfers are planned. Current hours are on the contact page; time of service is one of the factors in the fee.

What should I bring for the patient?

ID, discharge summary and results, medicines and a medication list, phone and charger, and personal items such as glasses or a hearing aid.
